Origins and development

The Catholic Cemetery of the Upper City was laid out in 1909. Heinrich Hauberrisser designed the funeral hall in Romanesque-inspired forms, with a domed central space, side pavilions and a columned porch. The northeast gateway is in Art Nouveau style. The architect was himself buried in the cemetery.

Origins: 1909. The cemetery is in Galgenberg, Regensburg, at Bischof-Konrad-Straße 11, 93051 Regensburg. Its area is approximately 9 hectares.
